For the last 3 decades, Washington skateboarding legend, Cam Barrett, has been leaving his mark on the streets–from Bellingham down to Portland and then out east to Austin, Texas. It was 3 years ago when Cam and his good friend, Josh Knapp, started working on their skate video, Salish Return. To help promote the release of the video, I sat down for a long overdue interview with my friend. Journalism has opened many doors for me, leading me to all kinds of cool opportunities. One of those opportunities is to write about people in skateboarding that I have admired for years. And that’s what this project is.
